Introducing 꿈 (Kkoom) aka Dream and 콩 (Kong) Bean !
If you have been to Big John’s Place, or planning to come, then you will definitely have seen Kkoom and Kong’s picture everywhere.
They are the (un)official mascot of the house and they are always so friendly ! (They absolutely dig belly rubs !) Both of them are girls and were adopted and here is a little of their story.
꿈 (Kkoom) Dream
Kkoom turns 3 this year and between the 2, she is the more whiny girl one. She is the one that will come and sit on your lap and use her nose to nudge you to pat her head.
Kkoom’s previous owner did not know she was allergic to dog, which was why she had to give kkoom up for adoption. Nevertheless, we love her loads !
콩 (Kong) Bean
Kong, is the bigger unnie (she is turning 5 this year) but of course, she does not act like one.
When Kong was younger, her owners got drunk one night and threw her against the wall which cause her to break one of her leg. Overcome with guilt, when they got sober, they gave her up for adoption. The incident resulted in Kong taking a while more to warm up to strangers and once she does, she will be really loyal to you.
What are you doing to me, human ?
The both of them does not bite but they do bark quite a bit as they are really sensitive to sounds of vehicles and strangers. Some times when we are really busy, they act as our doorman, barking to alert us of people’s arrival. (Even though most time it is false alarm or just sound of car passing by …. -.-;)
We got a haircut !
Most of our guests love them as they prove to be more then just furry little things loitering around. They are always around like therapeutic dogs, our guests love talking to them or even just watching their silly antics. (watch out for kkoom’s hongkong kungfu flick worthy move)
If you are hesitating to stay in with us or not, trust me, really. They do not bite. And we have guests who overcome their dogs phobia and became really good friend with them !
